Opening Day

The Opening Day took place on 8 October 2018. The next Opening Day is scheduled for the beginning of the Winter Semester 2019/2020.

Going to university marks a new chapter in life, bringing with it the need to assimilate both knowledge and a great deal of new information. To help make their start at university as easy as possible, all new students are invited to the Opening Day. Academic Advising will be on hand to provide new students with tips for a successful start to their studies. Students can also visit the information market for answers to other questions. Refreshments will be available from the street food vans in the forecourt of the TU Main Building. The Opening Day is the main reception event for new students at the TU Berlin, and they are all invited to attend.
Please note that the whole event will be held in German.

Opening Day Map

all day: #tucampuswalk - Exhibition

In the blue lobby (main building, ground floor, right):

A photographic expedition through the TU Berlin
The TU Berlin is special. You can view Berlin from its roofs or step from yesterday to today in its staircases. It also has huge laboratories. In the years 2016 and 2017, 60 instagram photographers gained close insights into this particular campus world. The occasion was the Long Night of Sciences, during which the general public has access to the scientific buildings of the TU Berlin. The exhibition shows how the photo enthusiasts see the university through their lenses. Sometimes colorful, sometimes black and white and sometimes filtered.
