About Susan Jebb OBE FMedSci
Susan Jebb is a nutrition scientist with a track record of methodological research in energy metabolism and body composition leading onto studies to elucidate the pathogenesis of weight loss and gain. She co-leads the Health Behaviours team with approximately 30 staff including 12 early-mid career researchers and 6 doctoral students.
Her research programme is focused on the development and testing of dietary interventions to reduce the burden of chronic disease with an emphasis on the prevention and treatment of obesity.
She has a strong focus on translating scientific evidence into policy and practice with substantial experience working with policymakers, the food industry, health professionals and the public.
